Teachers - Middle School - Teacher/Public Relations
I am a proud member of the École Pine Grove Middle School team and currently in my ninth year at the school (how time flies!)
I graduated from Parkland Composite High School in 1979 and moved to Welland, Ontario, where I attended Niagara College for three years and earned a diploma in technical theatre. After taking a couple of years to travel and work, I returned to school at the University of Calgary; graduating in 1988 with a Bachelor of Education Degree.
Although my major in education was secondary social studies, my teaching career has been varied. I have worked with students from grades 1 to 12 and taught everything from grade one science and math (in a school of 50 students) to grade twelve home economics (in a school of 1200 students).
I feel truly fortunate to have ended up at Pine Grove, a school where I have been able to build a program around a lifelong passion; drama. Every year I look forward to the crazy ride which is the Pine Grove musical, an experience which highlights the incredible energy, talent and enthusiasm of our young people. During the spring the one acts are a wonderful way to hone the skills of those students who share a true passion for drama.
Life at Pine Grove is good!
